Earthdance 2008

EVENT INFORMATION:

Greetings Lovelies...

Ladies and Gentlemen- It is my honor, to invite you to Earthdance Miami presented by M : E : A : D in association with PLUM TV and MIAMI NEW TIMES.

A few facts :

1.There will be kids activities from 3-7pm so families are encouraged!!! (KIDS are free)

2.RSVP to earthdancemiami@gmail.com in advance and your name will be put on a list - $10 is what you will pay upon arrival. If not, $20 at the door.

3.Tim Ronan of SBK Global, also known as 'Jedi Mind Trick' is sponsoring and designing a special edition Gift Bag, ( they rock y'all, for reals!!! ) and so everyone will get one upon entrance. Yay!

4. Special Guest and Star Christopher Witecki of Soulgarden TV is confirmed!!!!!!! Woo Hoo!! He is AMAZING and will be co-hosting EDm with me this year. I can't tell you how awesome this is.... please go to www.soulgarden.tv to learn more. This is the best news ever!!!!!!! We love you Christopher Witecki!!!!!!

5. EDm will be webcast LIVE and we will have screens streaming in Greece, Australia, California and Amsterdam so we can see other EDs that are happening simultaneously.

6. There will be food, beer, wine and sake sold at the space, so you all can relax and make a day out of it!

7. ******THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF Earthdance Miami IS THE GLOBAL PEACE PRAYER. GET THERE EARLY TO BE A PART OF THIS MAGICAL MOMENT WHICH IS AT 7PM. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH....THIS IS THE MOMENT OF TRUTH, I'M TELLING YOU...SO PLEASE, PLEASE, INSPIRE EVERYONE TO BE PRESENT FOR THAT. 7PM, 7PM, 7PM, 7PM, 7PM, 7PM, 7PM, 7PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me also say, that what we are doing here is REAL. This is not some hippie, granola music fest. QUITE THE CONTRARY. These are genuine efforts by genuine people who have come together to shift the consciousness and raise awareness, not only of our local communities...but this planet as a whole, from one of fear and doubt to one of love, light and certainty. We have that power within us to do this. It's called 'light.' And in the midst of the current, chaotic, world order......I can't think of a more appropriate and needed time to do this.

I have also attached the design layout of EDm. It is taking place at www.sohostudiosmiami.com which is a spectacular space in the heart of Wynwood art District. It is fully air conditioned!! Think of it as an 'indoor amphitheater.' So bring your rugs, blankets, and beach chairs to sprawl and chill out on and enjoy the shows and presentations.

Our Mission
ECOMB is a Florida 501 (c)3 not-for-profit volunteer-based corporation founded in 1994 in the City of Miami Beach. The organization is dedicated to educating Miami-Dade County’s residents and visitors to adopt responsible environmental behaviors and to raising their awareness to our surrounding ecosystems. ECOMB's mission is carried out through the development and implementation of various programs targeting the following objectives:

* To reduce the amount of litter in County’s beaches, waterways, islands and Biscayne Bay;
* To increase the County’s residential and business recycling rates;
* To preserve and restore our sensitive ecosystems, such as the nearshore coral reefs, beach dunes, islands, mangroves, and Biscayne Bay waters;
* To encourage community members to adopt new lifestyle practices that are more environmentally sustainable.
In order to address these and other environmental challenges the community faces each year, ECOMB strives to promote better interactions amongst residents, visitors, businesses and government agencies. ECOMB believes that, by educating and encouraging stakeholders to get involved and to act responsibly towards their environment, together we will improve our quality of life, save resources for our local government, live more sustainably and, thus, preserve our environment for generations to come.
By working closely and in partnership with both local and national nonprofits, corporations, local volunteer groups, schools and government agencies, ECOMB organizes various beaches, islands and canals cleanups, environmental educational seminars and eco-awareness events each year.
