EVENT INFORMATION:

In São Paulo, Earthdance team is preparing a special celebration. We want to show the public that the tools to change our attitudes towards nature are at hand. And also, we want the public opinion to know that electronic music parties can produce something real and positive, and then bring it back to society as a gift.

So, Earthdance São Paulo is all about environmental consciousness.

Following Earthdance International guidelines, 50% of the profit will be donated to a NGO aligned with the global focus of the year. Besides that, we prepare innovations on the way parties can be used to help solve some brazilian environmental questions: reforestation of devastated native areas, carbon emissions neutralization, expansion of consciousness on environmental questions, materials recycling and the importance of small attitudes, e.g. not throwing small trash on the dancefloor ;)

Last but not least, we want you be ACTIVE part of all these initiatives - every ticket sold will pay the costs of planting two trees on reforestation programs run by Instituto Vidágua.

The Environmental Institute Vidagua (Instituto Ambiental Vidágua) is a private non-profit organization that does not accept - or have - funding or relation with political parties. Vidagua neither seeks nor accepts donations that could compromise its independence, aims, objectives or integrity. It seeks, generates and accepts funding that strengthens its independence, aims, objectives and integrity.

The Environmental Institute Vidagua develops its activities in the city of Bauru - and its region since 1994. The city of Bauru, in São Paulo state, Brazil, is located around 400 km away from the Atlantic Ocean coast. The region of Bauru is a transition area between two biomes: The Atlantic rainforest and the Cerrado (it is a vast tropical savanna ecoregion of Brazil). Since 2005, Vidagua has a base by the Atlantic ocean seaside, to deepen its researches, projects and activities with the local villagers of the of the Atlantic Rain Forest of Sao Paulo state, in the Valley of the Ribeira River (Vale do Ribeira). This region has the remaining 23% of the original area of the Atlantic Rain Forest of Brazil. Nowadays only 7% of the original area has left preserved. The Atlantic rainforest has the highest biodiversity of the rainforests of the world and it is among the five most important Hotspot of the world. Conserving it all is vital to the world sustainability.

The main objectives of Vidagua are:

* To articulate the civil society in the defense of the environment.
* Develop programs of environmental protection, recuperation and preservation; * Develop studies, researches, projects, plans and activities on regional and national basis to promote the recuperation of water resources;
* Develop courses, speeches, debates and publications to promote the public environmental education.

The mission of Vidagua is to promote the sociobiodiversity. The main biomes it acts are The Atlantic Rain Forest and the Brazilian Cerrado.

In both biomes that Vidagua works, it has nurseries of native seedlings, producing seedlings for the reforesting projects, practical environmental education and many activities.
