a global traveler who’s traversed some six continents and 37 countries,
DJ Dragonfly is one of the Bay Area’s most sought after purveyors of cutting
edge world music. Bay Area dance freaks place him in the top ranks of
DJ polls for his unique sound: A fusion of electro house and funky breaks
raked over with a globally influenced smackdown of idioms, rhythms and
melodies, then bumped up by live electronic percussion. Using bass as
the navigator, he sets his decks on a course that weave their way through
a wide range of tempos. From Gibraltar to the Ganges, no continent goes
unturned in his search for the perfect groove.
As
a producer he has delved into the world of creative gatherings by hosting
and developing numerous weekly, monthly and annual events such as: Earthdance’s
electronica dome, The Groove Garden, SolFest, Harmony Festival, Techno
Tribal, Mantra Lounge, Alchemy, Floorplay, Ali Akbar College of Music
Festival and Yoga Journal’s Trance Dance.
