For 29 years, Earthdance International has brought people together across cultures and continents in a shared intention for peace. Through music, dance, and community gatherings, Earthdance creates spaces where human connection can flourish.
At the center of this movement is our Global Synchronized Prayer for Peace. When thousands of people gather simultaneously around the world, the experience becomes symbolic. It’s a reminder that beneath our differences, we share the same pulse; the same desire for belonging, healing, and a more compassionate world.
Our 2026 theme, “The Heart & Beat of Humanity “reflects this shared rhythm. It honors the simple truth that peace begins within individuals, grows through connection, and is amplified when we move together. In listening to one another, and to the planet, we remember that humanity is strongest when we act in unison. We invite you to join us.

Event registration is open to our traditional producers, plus we are encouraging participation from any and all livestreaming artists and community creators from all over the world.
Please read our Event Producer Agreement and Register your event with Earthdance. We will share your event globally through the Earthdance Facebook and YouTube pages, and on our website, helping give visibility to your local efforts.
PRAYER FOR PEACE
The crowning moment of the festivals is the synchronized “Prayer for Peace,” a profound moment of reflection and unity where participants join together in a powerful affirmation of peace. Again this year, the “Prayer for Peace” will be broadcast live from Florida via RadioCave on their YouTube channel, with all proceeds benefiting OtterSpace (formerly The Ark).

EARTHDANCE 2026 COUNTDOWN
OFFICIAL GLOBAL SYNCHRONIZATION TIME
The official time for the 2026 global meditation will be Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 4 pm (16:00) PST in California, US, which is the same moment as midnight Sunday, September 20 (0:00) BST in London, UK.
Countries have many different ways of determining local time – in general, the meditation will take place on Saturday, September 19 in the west, and on Sunday, September 20 in the east.

The Earthdance Global Festival for Peace is the world’s largest music and dance event for peace.

Earthdance is aligned with International Peace Day, a global holiday sanctioned by the United Nations and observed annually on September 21. Every year on the same weekend, Earthdance features hundreds of musicians, DJs, speakers, and dancers at local celebrations and fetes around the world. Since the first Earthdance festival in 1997, more than one thousand events have been held in over eighty countries.
The pinnacle of each Earthdance festival is the global synchronized “Prayer for Peace,” a profound rite that unites our international, cross-generational tribe in a powerful affirmation of peace. Our Global Link-Up of the Prayer for Peace music track, experienced simultaneously worldwide, is a deeply moving shared intention for peace.

EARTHDANCE GLOBAL RECOMMENDS
LIVE PEACE – A GLOBAL MOVEMENT UNITING PEOPLE FOR PEACE THROUGH MUSIC
Live Peace is an international non-profit citizens’ initiative with a simple but ambitious vision: to bring people around the world together through music and culture to call for peace and an end to all wars.
In collaboration with 10 Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and Nobel Peace Prize awarded organizations, Live Peace connects concerts, cultural events, cities, organizations, artists and citizens around the United Nations International Day of Peace on September 21. Live Peace is a non-profit organization established in France under the French Association Law of 1901.
The idea is simple: rather than creating one single event, Live Peace aims to connect thousands of existing and newly created events around the world under one shared message:
WE WANT PEACE.
Music has a unique ability to connect people beyond national borders, religions, cultures and political beliefs. Inspired by the global power of movements and cultural events such as Live Aid and Fête de la Musique, Live Peace aims to create an annual global moment in which millions of people can peacefully make their voices heard together.
From 50 events to a global movement
The movement is already growing. In 2025, 50 Live Peace events took place worldwide, including a major concert in Annecy, France, for which more than 8,700 people registered.
In 2026, Live Peace aims to connect more than 100 peace events worldwide between 1th – 30th September. Cities, music venues, festivals, schools, universities, cultural organizations and citizens are participating with concerts and cultural activities of all sizes.
One of the flagship events will take place in Annecy, France, with 8,000–9,000 people expected to come together for peace through music. The 2026 programme includes artists such as Imany, Synapson, Chimène Badi and Philippine Lavrey.
Other events are being organized across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas – from city events and community concerts to cultural festivals and individual musical performances.
A citizens’ movement for peace
Live Peace is independent and non-political. Its message does not belong to one country, religion or political position.
At its heart is the belief that every human life matters and that ordinary people can help create a culture of peace.
Live Peace therefore invites anyone, anywhere in the world, to participate: organize a concert, dedicate an existing music or cultural event to peace, perform a song, or simply join an event and make the message visible.
The long-term vision is to build an annual global movement around September 21, connecting hundreds and eventually thousands of events across continents – supported by major international concerts and global media coverage.

Participation can range from a small local gathering to a major concert. Existing events can also join the movement without changing their own identity or programme.

Last Prisoner Project—
Imagine sitting in a cell for years, decades, or even for life, convicted of an activity that is no longer a crime, while thousands of other people build intergenerational wealth doing exactly the same thing. That is the situation that tens of thousands of drug war prisoners face today in the United States alone, while countless others languish in jails and prisons worldwide.
We work to repair these harms through legal intervention, constituent support, direct advocacy, and policy change.
